How do you anticipate crisis in your life or business? They are a natural part of life that we all have to deal with at some time or another. Discover what Peter F. Drucker has to say about this important matter.

Are you prepared for the storm?
I agree for example staying active and exercise is preparation for maturity and a time when you body will go through storms. I like the passage for the day.
Thanks for the tip. It has been my experience that change is not hard, it”s my resistance to change is what makes it hard. I learned from you that proper planning for change makes a great bit of difference. Thanks.
Only thing constant is change, and storms help make you strong to handle the change. Short and sweet, great tips: be prepared. I will pass this on.
Staying active and exercising is definitely an example. It is far better to be prepared than to be caught totally off guard. This applies to life and business. The overarching question then becomes, “how are we preparing for the changes that life has a way of bringing our way?” Thanks for sharing!
Any other examples anyone?
You are welcome! Try this on:
“If you don’t like something change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.” ~Mary Engelbreit
Wow! That’s just the message I needed to hear today. I like your vocal variety and the way you speak from the heart.
Words with out action are only fiction. Action without knowledge and education creates chaos. Knowledge and education lacking wisdom is fleeting. Therefore be wise in all endeavors and lean not to your own understanding.
Here is the actual quote:
“The most important task of an organization’s leader is to anticipate crisis. Perhaps not to avert it, but to anticipate it. To wait until the crisis hits is already abdication. One has to make the organization capable of anticipating the storm, weathering it, and in fact being ahead of it. That is called innovation, constant renewal.”
- Peter F. Drucker in Managing the Nonprofit Organization
Well said…this is a similar principle I try to relay to my psychotherapy clients. It is important to identity and plan for potential barriers and storms that may hinder or delay the achievement of your personal or organizational goals.
Nice job Rodney. I’m glad to hear what you are doing and how you’re being a change agent.
Thanks Rodney. This tip is right in line with what I heard at church yesterday in regards to not waiting but stepping up to make change happen. Nice job: simplistic and results driven.
I like the brevity of it, Rodney….of course what you had to say is good too. ….I just don’t like to think about the storms!
