Category 3, though, I must say includes many people who belong in jail, and I don’t think that fact can be soft-pedaled. In addition to helping boards both avoid selecting such people in the first place and spot them as early as possible when they “slip over to the dark side,” we need to make it clear to our fellow board members that they know we will be the ones who are turning them in and putting on the handcuffs should they abuse their position in any way.
